how to wake up early and not feel tired

How to wake up early – it’s not difficult if you practice a good lifestyle. These tips will help you to wake up early and not feel tired.

How was your Monday morning today? Did you wake up with the first ring of your alarm? Did you have a smile when you woke up? Were you ready to face the week with a gusto? Okay, I heard you. I heard your loud NO.

Believe me, for the longest time I was a late riser. I hated waking up early. Who doesn’t like the five extra minutes of sleep in the morning? But then I decided to become a morning person because you get a lot of peaceful time to finish your work. You will understand where I am coming from if you have a small kid to manage!

What do you gain if you wake up early?

Getting up late meant less productivity for me. I used to work like a night owl because I found the timing peaceful with everyone fast asleep. And that meant I would wake up late. But once I started waking up early I realized I am not dragging myself through the day nor am I doing things in haphazard ways.

I was feeling fresh in the morning mentally and was totally not depending on coffee for the morning kick.

I am sharing a few tips so that you can wake up early and not feel tired. I have practiced these little things in my life and have benefited quite a lot. These will not only help you wake up early but will make you feel energetic, fresh and highly productive.

#1 Get Enough Sleep

If you are not getting enough sleep, you will be feeling tired. Waking up after 4 or 5 hours of sleep is not good for your body and system. Get 7-8 hours of sound sleep. So no browsing through your phone before sleep!

#2 Try to wake up before you hit the snooze button

Everyone hits the snooze button, and sometimes they keep doing repeatedly. Try to wake up before you have hit the snooze button. Make it a point to not set 5 different alarms to wake up in the morning!

#3 Drink Water first thing in the morning

Keep a glass of water on your bedside table so that you can drink it first thing in the morning, even before you have brushed your teeth. It wakes up the system.

#4 Splash water on your face

My mom used to tell me this in my childhood “wake up and splash water on your face.” Water on the skin is rejuvenating, depending on the weather splash cold or warm water on your face. Water will rejuvenate and cool down the skin.

#5 Do something that you like to start a physical activity

Instead of checking your emails or social media, in the morning, do some deep breathing exercises or do anything that you like. This can include stretching, walking, planks, yoga – anything to kick start some physical activity.

I believe in getting up early. I like to get up when the entire house is quiet. I get to do many things with double speed. And it allows me to get in action before others wake up.
