“The secret of Happiness is to admire without desiring” – Carl Sandburg.
What is it you require to have an amazing life? The answer lies within YOU. You first need yourself to be by your side – all the time. Make yourself strong within to stand by yourself when no one is willing to. You are your best friend and you know your story the best.
Life is meant to be amazing, not just good or better but amazing. It’s not about how many Gucci hand bags you have or which farthest exotic destination you are going this summer. Life is much more than your material possessions. If you have to choose between spending your money for a designer shoe or a weekend out with your entire family which one would you choose? The Jimmy Choo?
Let’s take it that you chose the Jimmy Choo, you will feel wonderful for a week, you will show it off at every other party – it will stay with you for few months and after that the entire craze for it is over! What a bummer – it surely will have a nice place in your shoe rack and upteen photos on Instagram.
If you, on the other hand, chose the weekend gateway with your entire family you will create tons of Instagram worthy photos as well but the most important part is you will create wonderful memories -happy memories that will stay with you for a life time. You will have stories to share with your kids later.
True life is lived when tiny changes occur – Leo Tolstoy
Your choices, your thoughts, the decisions that you take determines how amazing can you make your life. Live simple. Dream Big. Laugh Lots. Be Amazing. Give Love.
I am taking part in the A to Z Challenge 2017. Are you?

Amazing post and happy read on fresh morning to lead a ecstatic life. No one can pump more blood to happiness than our family.😊
Thank You Shraesta, I hope you liked it and hoping to see you here throughout April.
nice read. beautiful thoughts. thanks for posting.
This is so true – we need to appreciate what we have and not always be striving and competing for more. Happiness comes from within.

Thank you Leanne, yes we often fall prey to the competing world and forget to appreciate what we have. Thanks for dropping by.
I know this lesson sounds like common sense to so many but the truth is it took me so long to figure it out in my own life. I had lost the better half of three decades before I chose to open my eyes and ‘be happy’
Yes Roshan, it looks easy from the top, but is a deep thought. My story is similar too but the best part is we have realized to open the eyes and be happy! Thanks for dropping by
This is something I want to stress on during this challenge. You summed up so well.Happy raed.
That is a thought that enriches life, your own and through you those of people around you. Great post , Tina. Loved it!
what a beautiful thought Tina. Indeed we need to invest in things that matter. Loving this theme !!
And that’s an amazing thought to commence the challenge as well. It was hard for me to accept that life is amazing the way it is. I was always hard on myself. But I am learning to be more accepting 🙂
Life is amazing – and, well, about those Jimmy Choos, I have never liked high heals. Now, in my 60’s and with balance problems, I can’t wear them, anyway! I vote for the weekend getaway, 100%!
hahhaha… I am sure you are leading a meaningful life now.
I loved the positivity in this post, Tina. And I have a feeling the rest of the posts will follow suit! Indeed our choices influence our happiness.
Good read Tina. Definitely a getaway with family creates a lot of memories that we all can cherish for life. Will try to keep up with your posts !
It is important to enjoy life so that you do not regret it later. Agree with all the points Tina. enjoyed reading it. 🙂
This is such a wise post, Tina! And getaways no matter with whom you go, are always a way of rejuvenating and create memories for life while the material things give us temporary joys!
Cheers
Hey Tina, I may not have moved forward without visiting your blog. You are correct when you say that choices do make a change. They are the real cause of what we are in present.
Thank you Geethica. Yes the choices are who we are.
So true! Choosing experiences over material possessions makes for the most meaningful memories.
I truly believe in this that life is amazing..we just need to find out it’s value and cherish it .. loved the way u always bring positivity 🙂
I think that you (and I) would choose the weekend adventure with family, and the lifetime of memories. But isn’t it a bit judgmental of us to think that’s what would make life “meaningful” or “amazing” for someone else?
We tell ourselves things like “life is meant to be meaningful and amazing,” but…is it? Is it really “meant” to be anything? Or do we simply have the option to choose that for ourselves, and to fight for our freedom of choice? Also for the right to decide for ourselves what constitutes “meaningful” or “amazing”?
Sometimes, I wonder if I wasted my potential, never really trying to discover a cure for cancer or study the things that might take me to the outer reaches of space with a career at NASA. But I love my life, my family, my kids, my job…I’m happy. Maybe that’s what life’s “meant” to be – a sense of happiness, or at least, contentment. Whatever that means to you or me.
Yeah, I don’t get the Jimmy Choos, either – but that doesn’t mean it’s not part of someone else’s “awesome life”!
Enjoyed your post and graphics. 😀 As a travel writer, I’m all about making memories with family!
I look forward to seeing what else you share this April. Happy A to Z! 🙂

Yes Swathi, memories and experiences have better shelf life. Thanks for dropping by
Many times I have missed family gatherings because of work. And materialistic things haven’t gotten to me yet. 😉
But yeah, money and kinda the kick from overworking over family I am still fighting.
Hehe, we have all gone through these. Experience teaches you to be wise.
Bang on Tina. Happiness and the key to an amazing life lies within ourselves. Look forward to more such inspiring and motivational posts from you
