Have you seen a mom’s handbag or diaper bag without the wet baby wipes in recent times? Most likely your answer will be no! Baby wipes are so useful and handy that you don’t want to leave home without them. They are an essential for me. You never know when you will need them – to wipe baby’s hands before food, face after food, body after spilling the food all over or during a diaper change. As a mom I want my baby to be safe and use some of the best baby care products. I am also one of those who check labels before buying – especially if they are for the baby. Whether the product is free of parabens, whether it’s free of any harsh chemicals, whether the product will be gentle on my babies skin is always the first few things that come to my mind.

Mamaearth Organic Baby Wipes

When I received the Mamaearth Baby Wipe the first thing I noticed was the label which mentions it’s India’s first Organic Baby Wipes. Then I thought of checking up what are baby wipes made up of. I was surprised to find what we use as baby wipes are actually polyester blends. These polyester blends are in fact less breathable and are not biodegradable. Which means these are pollutants of water bodies and takes tons of time to decompose.

Since we strive to get the best possible care for our kids and most gentle products for their delicate skin – I as a mother should I then choose a polyester blend wipe or an organic one? I used Mamaearth Organic Baby Wipes for a few days to find the difference.

Why Mamaearth Organic Baby Wipes

The Mamaearth organic baby wipes are made of bamboo fiber which makes the fabric more breathable. Since they are organic this product is biodegradable and doesn’t fill up the landfills or clog water bodies.

The product is pediatrician-tested for its use and functionality. They are gentle on the skin and is certified by Made Safe Organisation.

The organic wipes are not bleached, are 100% polyester free, pH balanced.

The product is made of Dermatologically tested Hypoallergenic Certified toxin free Organic Bamboo

There’s no sulfates, parabens, mineral oils or synthetic fragrances.

As a mom you always want the best for your kid. I’m very choosy about the products I use for my kid. I completely dislike chemical laden products. . . These new baby wipes by @mamaearth.in are nothing like the ones you see around. The MamaEarth wipes are India’s first organic bamboo fiber wipes. These polyester free unbleached wipes are more breathable and are perfect for your baby’s soft skin. . . These Organic Bamboo Fiber Wipes are certified by Made Safe Organization- they contain no petrochemicals, bleach, chlorine, parabens, or synthetic fragrances. . At the end you have a happy mommy and a rash free baby soft skin on your baby. Watch this space and my blog for a detailed review very soon. . #review #mommyreview #babyproducts #babywipe #bamboobabywipes #bamboowipes #bamboofiber #mamaearth #organicskincare #parabenfree #babycare

What are the Key ingredients of this Organic Bamboo Fibre Baby Wipes

The Mamaearth Organic Baby Wipes are made with a gentle blend of Aloe Vera, Shea Butter, Almond Oil and Lavender Oil which helps in gentle cleansing of baby’s delicate skin.

What did we love about the wipes?

If you ask my toddler and if he could answer properly he would say he loved the owl on the pack! The first thing he said when he looked at the pack was “Owl” – yes he knows names of many animals and birds now!

We loved the resealable pack with the lid. I find it very difficult to use wipe packs that don’t come with the lid and you have to put the sticker back. It makes them dry very easily. This is a travel-friendly pack.

As a mom, I am relieved to know there isn’t any synthetic fragrance in it – because my baby gets rashes with very fragrant products.

The wipes are soft and gentle and the presence of aloe vera and shea butter makes it better for the skin.

Price

This pack of Mamaearth Organic Baby Wipe contains 72 wipes and comes at a price point of Rs. 249 – which I feel is quite reasonable given its organic and toxin free. They are available online at several online shopping sites for baby products and on the Mamaearth website.

Would I buy again and use it for my baby – I think I will, because it’s safe and gentle for the baby’s skin.

They have left me here, alone.

Again I’m myself with her.

I don’t even like her, she’s always on her phone or watching TV.

No one is bothered about me.

Not even three days and already my parents don’t like me anymore.

Will I always be with this baby sitter?

Will my mummy not love me anymore?

Will daddy not play with me anymore?

Will he only play with the new baby?

I’ll not let that happen.

This was my room, all for myself but now I have only a side.

Please god, I didn’t want a brother, I want my mommy back, help me!

Every time he looked at the crib he wished God had not heard him that day.

There hasn’t been a day that mom has not shed tears in last 6 months.

God, please give him back to mommy. I want to see her smile.

Home is not a place, its a feeling – Thank You Home #ThankfulThursday #ThankYouNote Contest Week 2

by tinabasu November 10, 2017
written by tinabasu

Home is not just a place. Home is where the heart is. Are you thankful for your home? Have you ever said thank you home? We are celebrating thankfulness this entire Thanksgiving month. Join the #ThankfulThursday #ThankYouNote contest and link up with us.

thank you home

Home is where the heart is. Home is where you always want to return no matter how big or small you are, how successful or rich you are. I have always said that having your own home is very important. There is nothing more important than a good, safe and secure home. You need a space that you can call yourself – a space where you can be yourself! When you are a teen you are dreaming about the day you will be leaving your home to explore the world, go study abroad, get a work at the most exotic location but as you grow older and wiser you realize home is where you want to return to. You can never escape saying – thank you home!

I am no stranger to this feeling. You probably realize the worth of your home, family, city only when you have left it and you cannot return there. The day we took the decision to get our own home it was the start of a new chapter in life. Buying a house can be a daunting task but believe me, all that is worth when you step inside your own home.

I have been very thankful to finally find a home that completely reflects me and my style. We spent over a year and a half in search of an apartment in Bangalore. Nothing impressed us – and I am talking about over some 20-30 projects that we had seen. Either they were not having enough open space, or not having clear titles or were simply out of our budget.

Planning to buy a home in Bangalore? Read these 10 Tips for buying an apartment that will guide you better.

But all that effort was worth it once we had finalized the house and moved in. I can’t thank enough our home – this is the place which has taught me responsibility, this is the place that has brought me and my man closer because we both shouldered all responsibilities of running a home in the initial days.

“May your home always be too small to hold all of your friends.”

I remember the first day we moved in and the pieces of furniture were still coming in, the husband got me a plyboard from the woodwork leftover so that I could at least sit! We have spent time and have made efforts to build our nest straw by straw – its still to nearly done, though!

This is the home where my son has discovered unnoticed corners, has explored every nook and corner while he was in the crawling stage. This is also the place where we are creating wonderful memories.

“Home is where love resides, memories are created, friends always belong, and laughter never ends.”

Are you thankful for home too? Do you say Thank you home?

Are you participating in this wonderful #ThankfulThursday #ThankYouNote Contest?

Our First Halloween Party #MondayMusings

by tinabasu November 6, 2017
written by tinabasu

Halloween the popular tradition from US is a new entrant in the Urban Indian Culture. Last week we attended our first Halloween party in full costume and make-up. What did you do?

first Halloween party

Last week I asked you about your plans for Halloween while knowing I had no plans as such for it. But when you have crazy people around, planning a party can take place in 10 mins over Whatsapp! My son is two and goes to a play school now. I was hoping there would be a Halloween Party there, but unfortunately, there wasn’t one. They instead made a cute Halloween craft!

The Toddler does #halloweencrafts in playschool. The mom asks teacher- “is he saying anything in class?” The Teacher says: “he knows quite a lot, looks at craft and says Ghost”! The Toddler does spooky stuffs! Doesn’t call me mum yet! 🤔 Happy Halloween 🎃 #happyhalloween #halloween #halloweenkids

A post shared by Tina Basu (@twinklingtina) on Oct 30, 2017 at 11:21pm PDT

I’m like one of those moms who want to get a slice of everything for my kiddo. And thankfully I am not the only one. Few other moms of his batch were also looking forward to a Halloween Party so that the kids could enjoy.

Guess what, a party was organized and several kids were in attendance with quick costumes! A few years back I did some Halloween Makeup with my friends and thought of keeping that tradition alive! This year I did some quick 10-minute makeup to get in the Spiderman skin! This is of course, inspired by a Pinterest post. But guess what, I didn’t have a Spiderman tee, so I had to be happy with my Spiderman do in my Superman tee!

When you want to be both! Happy Halloween people Superwoman goes in with Spiderman makeup 💄 #halloween #halloweenmakeup #halloweencostume #halloween2017 #halloween2017🎃

I had no idea what to dress my little man in! So I had to make use of this puppy cap that my mom got back from Berlin, paired it with a spooky jacket which happened to match with a purple pair of spooky shoes!

But it’s a tad bit difficult to do makeup for toddlers. Mine doesn’t even want to sit for a minute. Somehow I get him in a dress forget about doing any makeup!

Happy Halloween. The Toddler runs away with the mention of makeup!!! #happyhalloween #halloweenmakeup #halloweenmadness #halloweencostume #halloweenmakeup

Kids were super excited to dress up and go on trick-o-treating. We had scores of visitors at home this time but thankfully I was prepared and it was Bluey this time who gave off their treats!

Next year, I think we should be having our first organized Halloween Party with Halloween Décor. I have a few ideas in mind, hopefully can bring them out in reality! So how was your Halloween? What did you do this Halloween? Let me know in comments below.
