Life hacks & Parenting Tips for moms to keep your sanity intact – Mom Hacks
Mom Hacks to Manage Time
#1 Make a routine for everything
Kids like routines including infants. Keep things handy and prepped so that you are not looking for anything at the last time. A proper routine – feeding/changing/sleeping in case of infants will make your day smoother.
Prep the night before if you have a toddler or a pre-schooler. When your morning starts smoothly it is less likely that you will lose your sanity!
#2 Do your shopping online
Buy everything online and get them delivered at home. You save on traffic time, parking time, billing queue and fuel cost. Get kids stuff, clothes, diapers, food, and even your groceries online. If you can get the subscriptions that gives great deals like Amazon Prime or Flipkart Plus get that. They will save money and even give delivery free of charge.
#3 Do meal prep and use oven or slow cookers
If you have no help at home your best friends are slow cookers and ovens. Do meal prep for a week and keep them refrigerated. Use slow cookers and crockpots for cooking so that you don’t have to be constantly standing in the kitchen. Oven and microwaves also gets your food ready faster.
Life hacks to organize home
#1 De-clutter and simplify home
Best thing to do to keep your organized is simplify things, get movable furniture and de-clutter as much as possible. There are tons of baby products and furniture that you would want to get to make the nursery or baby’s room look Pinterest worthy. Most of these are unnecessary and the child will grow out of it in less than a year.
I bought a baby high chair worth 10K which could be used as a chair later when the child grown up. My son used it for 4 months max and he never liked being buckled up!! It is just lying there like a junk.
#2 Use Hidden Storage and organizing bags
kids have toys – tonnes of toys. Use organizing bags and hidden storage places to keep the toys organized. I use container boxes for Legos. Legos just get on my nerves. It is now on my son’s list of chores to put the Legos away in the respective boxes after he’s done playing
#3 Get your preschooler to clean up toys
I encourage my 4-year-old to clean up his own toys after he’s done playing. It is a good habit to teach. SO it’s his job to keep puzzle pieces in respective boxes. In your child’s room demarcate places for each activities – art supplies, puzzles, cars, activity toys, books – so that the child knows what goes where and can keep those back without asking for instructions.
Parenting Tips for Moms of infants and toddlers
#1 Use silicone bibs or protective aprons to save clothes
Feeding a 7-month old is a big task. Use silicone bibs instead of cloth bibs to protect the clothes. Silicone bibs are easier to clean than cloth ones. It will make the job easier and faster.
#2 Put a hook behind the high chair and hang bibs
If you have a high chair put a stick-on hook at the back, hang bibs (silicone / cloth). You won’t be looking for a big at the last minute.
#3 Use a mattress protector while toilet training
Kids need time for toilet training and when you are keeping them diaper-free at nights you must use a waterproof mattress protector or dry sheet to keep night wetting troubles at bay.
#4 Keep Baby Wipes Handy
I can’t tell you how versatile a baby wipe is. My son is 4 I still keep a Baby wipe pack in my handbag – ALWAYS. You can clean almost everything including toys when you are outside.
#5 Clip your baby’s nails when they sleep
Clipping an infant’s nail is such a delicate task. Clip them when they are asleep to save you from the anxiety.

Great hacks Tina. Definitely time-saving!
Some very handy tips and tricks. I have used most of these when my kids were in that age bracket. Now with them being slightly more physically independent I feel relaxed. Though the problems are different now.
Preparing things in advance and making a list works great for me. I follow almost all these hacks except clipping nails when they are sleeping. Since my kiddos were infants, I have always clipped their nails when they are awake.
Great tips and tricks Tina, but microwaves should be used less, is used make sure to used the glass bowls instead of microwave safe plastics. keep writing!!! cheers !
