5 Tips for a Romantic Night

by tinabasu March 7, 2017
written by tinabasu

It doesn’t matter if you are newly married or have been married for some time. It doesn’t even matter if you are married at all. Everyone needs a romantic night. No, I am not talking about dates, dinners, wine and chocolate I am talking about the after party! Women love sex, and it’s not the domain of men alone – whoever thinks like that – get a reality check. For women it’s not just a physical act – it involves emotion, love, needs, it even acts as a stress buster.

Is Love Making Important for Women?

Women want it as much as the men and that is a fact. Do women just perform the act because they are in a relationship or they are married and they want to procreate? But the reality is different.

  1. Women feel loved with the physical act
  2. Love making is a great stress buster
  3. It makes the woman feel closer to her man

As much as it is important in a relationship to have healthy lovemaking, it is also important to maintain a good sexual health. Here are 5 tips for a Romantic Night of safe and pleasurable sex.

5-tips-for-a-romantic-night

Be Safe

While it is important to enjoy the night (or day) with your man, it is also important to be safe. Unprotected sex can ruin your life – it can lead you to pick up a Sexually Transmitted Disease like HIV, herpes, gonorrhea, syphilis or chlamydia. You can never know if a partner has symptoms of STDs, some may not be even aware of their condition and some can resort to hiding.

Unprotected sex can also result in unwanted pregnancies. Trust the good old condom. Stock up on condoms, pick flavors that you and your partner might enjoy. These days you get tons of varieties of condoms for added pleasure – flavored, ultra thin, dotted, ribbed etc.

You can even carry a female condom. Better to be safe than sorry later.

Enjoy with Lubricants

When you mention lubricants it doesn’t necessarily have to be about older women who are experiencing menopause! Younger women need it too and no they don’t have a problem. Lubricants ease up the act of sex. The little tube can bring intensified pleasure.

love couple

Use a Delay Spray

Premature ejaculation in men can create a havoc in your love life. If your man is quick and lacks the needed stamina gift him a Climax Delay Spray. In the last couple of years delay sprays have become very popular. They are known to prolong the act.

Bring out the Fun with Ring Vibrators

Love making without some fun is boring. The ring vibrators are meant for both him and her and can give you pleasure for minutes together. It can revive the excitement in your love live and give a break from monotony.

Role Play

Girls if you have been gushing about 50 Shades of Grey then trying out role plays are a must. Your romantic nights are yours, engage in role play, have fun with your partner. Dress up, be creative and have fun. Finally what matters is the fun element.

There’s nothing to be ashamed of if you like something different. Leading a healthy, safe and pleasurable sexual life is everyone’s right. Have fun, rekindle the romance but be safe.

The Shining Diamond – #FridayFotoFiction Week 15

featured-image-100-word-fiction-writing

I think I’ll die in this darkness and no one will know!

All my co-workers are dead, no one cared.

I need water, I want food, I want to sleep!

I can’t crawl anymore.

God what kind of a death is this?

He squinted his eyes to see something shining like a diamond.

That must be it.

That little light was enough to make him crawl with all the energy left in him.

After three days he finally saw the light of the day at the end of the old oil tunnel where his team got trapped in an accident.

5 Women Who Helped Me – #ThankfulThursdays Week 18

by tinabasu March 3, 2017
written by tinabasu

Women are wonderful creatures , on one hand you have a mother who carries a child in her womb, gives birth, nurtures kids, you have a sister who loves you yet fights with you, you have friends who love you yet can snap at you if you are wrong and then you have the other kind of women who can say nasty stuffs behind your back, who will not leave any stone unturned to pull you down! How ridiculous but how true! God save you if you have a female boss of the second kind!

Its Women’s Day on March 8th and at #ThankfulThursdays we are celebrating Women this entire month. So here’s an apt prompt for the women of the first kind – the women who have helped you in your life.

#ThankfulThursdays Week 18 Prompt

women-who-pull-you-down

My Mom

She has been strict, she has been a friend, she is now like a kid! I get my sense of style from her. She has been super hot and beautiful in her times ( I am nowhere close to her in that department!) She made sure I was always well dressed and her sense of fashion used to be always ahead of times! So I was dressed in paddle pushers and skinny three quarters during my pre-teens and they were still not in fashion or easily available in market!

She calls and facetimes me every day, several times to enquire if I am okay. I sometimes used to find that weird but now when I have Mr. Bluey doing all his antics I understand why my mum has to enquire about me all the time! Okay she enquires about Bluey a little more now!

My cousin sister

I have always been in an awe about one of my cousin sister since childhood. She was like my role model. I was a fan of her drawings, her handwriting, the way she used to carry herself – almost everything! My handwriting as a kid was horrendous. And then I discovered the picture perfect  handwriting of this sister of mine. She didn’t write in this cursive writing script but it was BEAUTIFUL. So beautiful that I made it a point to make my handwriting as good as hers. Changing your handwriting is no joke, but I did it – not as picture perfect as hers though! She has been there for me in my formative years as a great guide and friend. Helping with my homeworks, dreaded maths, biology projects (counselling on boys included!)

My Guruji

I don’t know if you know I have been a Kathak dancer almost all my childhood till I joined my graduation. My dance guruji Prof. Amita Dutta is not just a danseuse and a highly acclaimed performer but is also a great guide for life. Because I have spent so much time with her that I have learnt a lot more about life from her than anyone else. We use to tour across India for dance recitals and at an early age I learnt how to conduct myself in public. The free spirit that I have in me, the expressions that I can carry are all from her. I can’t thank her enough.

My first Room Mate

When I came down to Bangalore in 2007 I started living in a paying guest accommodation in a shared room. This was the first time in my life that I was sharing a room and a bathroom with anyone. Being the single child has its own perks, isn’t it? I have had heard some gazzilion stories of roommate fights, girls doing this and that, adjustment problem bla bla. But I can’t thank my stars enough that I found Sakshi as my first roommate. She is adorable, accommodating, a guide when you need, a good listener when you need, your shopping and movie partner – almost everything that you need in a good roommate. I absolutely love her and our sessions of endless late night talks in the dark! We are still in touch and I simply love her.

My Gurl Gang

They are a recurring topic in most of my posts! But that’s how it is. We have been together so long that it doesn’t matter one is in Muscat, one in Kerala, and one in Hyderabad! We have helped each other, been there for each other, known secrets and made loads and loads of memories. Love you girls.

Twist of Fate – #FridayFotoFiction Week 14

Nobody is perfect, nor am I.

I have defied everyone since I was young.

I lost everything that you gave me.

I have not been a good son, mum. I have failed you.

Look at the twist of fate, our chateau is not ours anymore.

It was auctioned off while I was in detention.

It’s my fault mum,

I still remember how we played in the lawns, chased the fireflies

But I promise you mum, one day I’ll take it back.

Only then I can sit by your grave and shed the tears – till then let them be inside me.

Word Count – 100

Did you Say Thank You – #ThankfulThursdays Week 17

by tinabasu February 23, 2017
written by tinabasu

Thank You is not just a magic word – it is a very powerful word. Don’t you think so? Welcome to another beautiful week of #ThankfulThursdays – a day when we practice Thankfulness, Gratitude and Appreciation.

Here is a quote prompt this week

 ThankfulThursdays

It is in human nature to look for a little appreciation from somewhere. Appreciation motivates us, it gives that little push we need to go through our lives. A little goes a long way. I make it a point to thank often. Not just in my #ThankfulThursday Posts but in person too.

I always thank the person at the cash counter, the cab driver, the watchman. And I like it when they say ‘welcome madam’. Thanking someone for small things doesn’t make me small. But it gives me a sense of peace.

thank-you-quote-pinterest-blog-tina-lifestyle

It is also important to say thank you to the people who you are the closest to you. Not just because they are your near and dear ones but most of the time you tend to forget to appreciate them. Humans tend to take others for granted – especially the ones close to them.

thank-you-quote-gratitude-quote-pinterest

thank-you-quote-gratitude-quote-pinterest

Let’s do an exercise for the next two days.

  1. Next time you visit your grocery store thank the cashier when he gives you the change
  2. Next time you take the Uber or Ola thank the driver when they drop you
  3. Next time someone keeps the lift open for you thank them

These are little things in life but they give you immense peace in mind. My little one is now very active. He has become the flag bearer of cleanliness! He is always helping either me or the maid or the cook. The other day I was gardening in the balcony and he tagged along. He picked up the little stool and brought to me so that I could sit and do my work! I told him thank you Bluey! He replied back ‘yallum’ – which I am assuming was welcome in his language!

Last but not the least – Thank you, readers, for reading and sharing your thoughts with me. Without your love there’s no point in me writing anything!
