A to Z Challenge Day#25 – Word Theme Y for Youthful

by Tina Basu April 29, 2014
written by Tina Basu
Y is for Youthful. 🙂

The Smile

He was not happy with this idea,
He didn’t like the idea of judging someone in 1 hour or even worse  – deciding whether he would spend the life with her!
He didn’t understand how these things worked.
But being an obedient son he did go that day.
He had all plans to explain it to her.
But her youthful spirit and a sweet smile changed a lot of things.

Yes, it changed for good, at least he went on to ask her out for a date.

    A to Z Challenge Day#24 – Word Theme X for XOXO

by Tina Basu April 28, 2014
    written by Tina Basu
Now this is tricky today, how do you figure out an emotion with X? I searched the online dictionary and the only word came similar to emotion was xenophobia and i obviously didnt want to write on it. So I chose XOXO!! Yeah it’s the lingo baby, all the way. Now it’s the time of whats app and we chat and yeah we use a lot of abbreviations and lingos. I do most certainly. So here I have chosen XOXO which is hugs and kisses pictorially (read: literally).

I was getting so tempted to write the entire post like how I wud write on twitter but the darn MS Office kept showing me the red lines which I simply hate. SO had to write in legitimate English!

    XOXO

Tisha just got to know it from Sam but didn’t know to say.

After Susan was her BFF and she didn’t like it when her best friend was low and sad.

She always did something to cheer her up.

But this time it was difficult.

Susan’s long time crush had declined to go on prom with her and for obvious reason Suzi was feeling low.

Tisha tried calling her but she didn’t pick up her call nor did she reply to her
What’s App pings, so much so that she bunked class today.

Tisha could understand what she must me going through – young love… and he was cute… but then she felt he was a mean monster. How could he refuse a beautiful and charming girl like Suzi.

She made up her mind that she will drop by Suzi’s place in the evening. She knew Suzi needed some warm hugs. But for now she just sent a xoxo, may be that could work till the time she reached her bestie.

      A to Z Challenge Day#23 – Word Theme W for Wretched

by Tina Basu April 26, 2014
      written by Tina Basu
It is like 1140 in the night and my eyes are almost sticking together. I was out the entire day and we came back only at 8 in the night. I hardly got anytime to sit down, think and write. So before I doze off, here’s a short piece.

      The Wretched Lady

“Rahul it’s your turn you go and bring it”

      “Ohh no.. why me yaar?”

“That is the rule, whoever hits the ball in someone else’s compound he has to fetch it”

      “That’s okay but not here”

“No no you only have to go”

      “But this is that house”

“That is exactly why you are going in there”

“What if the wretched aunty chases me with a stick?”

“We don’t know get the ball”

“I can bring a ball tomorrow!”

“Then how are we going to play today? Go now, get the ball. And if the wretched lady chases you then don’t worry, take a deep breath and run as fast as you can!”

        A to Z Challenge Day#22 – Word Theme V for Violated

by Tina Basu April 25, 2014
        written by Tina Basu
A tiny post for Day 22 on a very tiresome day. V is for Violated and with that word this is first that came in my mind – actually too much is happening around here and you read only this in the papers so no wonder I can’t think of anything else.

        The Unidentified Female

She looked up from the ground and saw blurred faces.

Her eyes didn’t see anything clear as the tears rolled down.

In her feeble voice she cried for help.

But could manage only some whispers.

She tried to raise her hand for help but not a bone moved.

They violated her and left her on the road side to die.

People came and saw her lying in blood and but no one came forward to help her.

No one knew about her struggle, no one knew who did this to her, she only got a little mention in the next day’s news paper as an unidentified female corpse has been found at the side of a deserted highway.

          A to Z Challenge Day#21 – Word Theme U for Unruffled

by Tina Basu April 24, 2014
          written by Tina Basu

Today for U I have Unruffled. It’s the cricket season and we all are watching a lot of cricket so my mind is obviously thinking Cricket though I miss Sachin on the crease. Anyways, I thought of doing this post on cricket. So enjoy

          When he gave a Smile

It was difficult to get Rohan out.

If they didn’t get his wicket he alone could wreak havoc on their team and score those massive runs.

That day Rohan was in form and was middling the ball very well.

Rohan knew that as well, so he tried to keep his calm and play his shots. He knew he had to take the responsibility of scoring as many runs as he could as the opponent had a decent score.

They kept changing their bowlers and taking the drink beaks to disturb his rhythm but it looked like Rohan was in some state of zen and nothing was bothering him much. He was still playing his shots brilliantly and racing towards the target.

The only idea that they could think of that time to slow down the unstoppable Rohan was sledging. The fielders standing close to him took pot shots at him, at his batting style and one even went far off to take pot shots about his family.

Rohan stood in his crease unruffled and told himself not to react. Because that was exactly what they wanted. He thought today he will only let his bat do the talking. Winning the Inter College Cricket Championship was important and his team needed him.

He gave a poised look at the fielder before facing the next ball. And in a calm mind he waited for the ball. The ball zoomed in as quickly as it was sent away for an over boundary in the stands. Rohan turned towards that fielder and gave a poised smile and kept playing his brilliant knock.

            A to Z Challenge Day#20 – Word Theme T for Tormented

by Tina Basu April 23, 2014
            written by Tina Basu
Hello there, so Day 20 is here, what a relief. 6 more days and then some rest for me. So what do we have today with T? It’s Tormented.   I am writing this post from my bed room because when I sit in front of the TV or do anything else I can’t think much on the fictions. And I can hear my hubby watching Jamie Oliver! hmm…

Anyways I am quite late today already and am damn sleepy right now. SO here is the post and no more non sense from me.

            The Visions

He woke up suddenly in the middle of the night.

This had now become a regular affair.

Siddharth often had these weird dreams which made him feel very uncomfortable.

When he woke up he was soaked in his own sweat.

He went up to his study table by the bed and rummaged through the pull out drawer.

He grabbed the card and sat on his bed.

He thought whether he should call him now or not.

But one look at the clock held him back.

He looked at the card closely in the dim night light.

The letters were big enough… Nawaz Khan… Siddharth had got his card through one of his colleagues but never thought he will actually use it, any day.

But these dreams were getting worse by the day.

He always had these visions of gory murder scene and blood in his shirt… as if someone stabbed him from behind.

But today he saw a little more when he turns around. But the face of the attacker was not clear.

He was tormentedby this attacker and these wild nightmares where somebody attacks him from the back and he falls down with many other dead bodies strewn across the place.

When he had mentioned about these visions, over lunch at work once, only
Murthy was sympathetic and others laughed it off. Murthy sourced this card from somewhere and gave it to Sid one day.

He re-read the card… Nawaz Khan – Past Life Regression Therapist.

He made a mental note that he will call up Khan the next morning. Now even

Sid had enough of these visions and wanted to ascertain if it had any link with his past life.
