115 posts in this year and still counting!!

I was just checking out my own blog today – I don’t know why – and figured out lately I have been blogging quite a lot. Do you remember I was sulking some time back on how people post everyday and each month they have so many posts and so on. I just realized in the last seven months I had 115 posts!!! And this one is my 116thone!!!!!!! I am super happy with it. It’s only mid –year and I have more than 100 posts – Tina does a happy dance :).



This wouldn’t have happened if I had not participated in the A to Z Challenge or the Ultimate Blog Challenge – that technically gave me 61 post!! But thank god I participated in them – otherwise to get a lazy blogger like me to do so many posts is a huge task!!! And in course of that I got to know so many awesome bloggers!

Now can I do 135 posts more this year??? You never know… I still have 4 months to go… Brace yourself guys for loads of fiction, reviews and a lot of things!!!

Thank you readers for dropping by and liking what I blabber. You are the inspiration and your comments and encouragement mean a lot to me.

Flash Fiction – The Stage Fright

He didn’t want to participate today.


He was not prepared… well, it was not that he wasn’t prepared… he just hated facing the audience.

Standing on a stage and speaking in front of a full auditorium is no little task and for Ronit – it definitely was a huge task.


He tried hard to get himself out of the competition but his professor didn’t listen to him.

He took his seat in the panel and felt drops of sweat forming on his forehead.

The over enthusiastic participants didn’t leave a mili-second for anyone – everyone jumped into the topic and spoke animatedly.

Ronit spoke briefly, but he hated this stage fright, he could speak as fluently as his fellow contestants did.

Soon it started sounding like a fish market with people yelling at each other. 

Is this how someone discusses a topic? Thought Ronit.


The debate had turned into a farce and the judges cancelled it… he felt it was his lucky day. His glistening eyes gave away how happy and relieved he was.

Five Sentence Fiction – I feel Secure

Hello hello, it’s the first day of August and a breezy Friday night, which also happens to be the first day of my biggest blogging challenge ever…. writing every freaking day. If I can continue for a quarter (i.e. 3 months) without a drop I’ll be damned!!! Yeah like really… I have no idea what I’ll be writing though…. 


I wrote yesterday that I’ll try to post in the mornings but I was too caught up today, so am posting at this hour of the night! But luckily I am not that sleepy tonight… so hopefully my fiction tonight will make some sense!!!

I Feel Secure

I sit trembling near the bench… I am almost drenched in the rain…

But I don’t see you anywhere.

You asked me to wait here… but you didn’t come back…

I wish I could make you realize I feel secure only when you are around, only when you pick me up, only when you love me… like the old times…

Am I so old and unwanted today that you abandoned me… Am I not your lil pup anymore?

The End is a new Start

So here we are at the last day of the UBC… What a month this July was. 31 days of non-stop blogging. Sometimes I did feel what do I blog about??? Am I running out of ideas??? what do I write??? But here  I am having successfully completed 31 days of the challenge… actually 30 and my 31stpost is the recap of what I did!!

Sometimes all these challenges push you to think harder and in turn you get to know how much you can think. Since I was mostly writing fiction this time – I had to think and come up with something new each day. That is quite a task. But I realized it is good for you if you don’t stick to your niche or one topic –mixed bag content is also good some times.

Now with that I am stepping into a new challenge – The Write Tribe Pro Blogger Challenge!!!! One more challenge without a break! [I gotta be kidding myself – but let’s see if I can blog like a pro] **** DRUMROLLS***** 


Now I have no idea what I am going to write. It can’t be fiction a day for too long. How many story lines can I think? But I am thinking of keeping it mixed bag and interesting. I have also noticed, when I leave everything for the night after dinner blogging time – I’m half asleep and I have no idea what I am thinking – I don’t write quite good then, nor do I get the patience to proof read. So I think I should stick to blogging at the day time.

Prompts are a great help when you need that push for creativity. I am looking for more and more prompts these days. I like that they push me to think and then come up with something. In case, you know about such sites do let me know… puhhhlease…

So let’s see if I can turn a pro blogger by the end of it or not!!! Fingers crossed!
