Romance is the evergreen genre which everyone enjoys. Rains and romance go together like hand in glove. When you see the sky pour you, invariably feel romantic. Baarish 2 on ZEE5 returns with Sharman Joshi and Asha Negi in the lead with new nuances of relationships, complicated love. After the success of old school monsoon mushy romance in Baarish S1, the second season returns with the ups and downs with relationships.
Baarish 2 on ZEE5 turns a new leaf in Anuj (Sharman Joshi) and Gauravi’s (Asha Negi) life. Gauravi spends months in lockup to protect her husband before she is bailed out. Without the comfort of their lavish lifestyle, the couple starts rebuilding their lives and their relationship. Amidst the twists and turns of life, they start from scratch and build their lives together only to fall apart.
Amidst the hard work of building a lifestyle, they start growing apart – to an extent that they are in the courtroom for a divorce. Will their love and relationship withstand the test of time? Will they be able to grow closer and stay under the monsoon umbrella? You need to watch this relatable romance drama for it.

Sharman Joshi made his Digital debut with the first season of Baarish S1 and it was such a fresh start for him. We have hardly seen him in romantic roles. He was well-received in season 1 and got a lot of appreciation from the audience. In Baarish 2 he shoulders the show almost single-handedly with superb acting. You see the flairs of man who is in love with his wife to becoming a mellow man when hard times strike. You see him as the angry suspicious husband- in a nutshell – Sharman Joshi is the star of Baarish 2.
Asha Negi, on the other hand, is a perfect fit Gauravi, giving amazing support to Sharman’s great acting. The season 1 of Baarish, however, was high on their on-screen chemistry which falls short in the second installment.
As the counselor, Jitendra makes his OTT debut with Baarish 2, and it a pleasure to watch as Jitu Bhai.

The typical use of popular Bollywood rain songs in the series is one of the USP. I really liked the music. The title track is beautiful. This show is produced by ALT Balaji and Ekta Kapoor always makes sure of good music.
In a time when daily soaps are not getting aired properly, digital content and OTT media is the answer to fill the void. This middle-class-girl-meets-rich-businessman romance drama offers life’s roller costar ride and is very relatable.
I liked the unusual complicated love story of Anuj and Gauravi. The show has some flaws – the subplots are weak and sometimes are not even required, yet it’s a nice show you can watch during this time. Perfect for binge-watching over the weekend. That’s the beauty of the digital content!!
Start with Baarish Season 1 on ZEE5 to get the whole perspective. Baarish 2 will not disappoint you.

This sounds like a delightful series both the actors I have seen on the screen and find that they do do justice to the role so definitely them coming together should make for some very interesting television will check it out

I like Sharman Joshi’s acting. I will have to look for season1 first. Everyday, I am reading something or other about Zee5 shows. And I must say, they have quite a wide variety.
I have watched season 1 of Baarish. Both leads played refreshing performance I am expecting the same acting from both in the new season. Yet to watch out, maybe sometime soon will do.
