Facing hair loss woes? You are not alone, darling, I am in the same boat too! Blame the weather, water, or lifestyle; I hate losing my hair when combing! However, I recently found a hair growth serum whose ingredients sounded very promising. I have tried it for some time now and am pretty impressed. So I had to share the Little Extra hair growth serum review with all the beautiful women out there.
Causes of Hair Loss
But before I get on to the review, let’s understand what might be causing hair loss for you. When I checked with my dermatologist, he blamed the hard water of Bangalore along with the lack of hair nutrients in the diet! (I never knew I should be including such stuff in the diet!) Anyway, check if these are the culprits for hair loss.Â
- Stress
- Hormonal Disbalance
- Nutrient Deficiency: Are you getting enough iron, vitamin D, or biotin?
- Heat Styling & Hair TreatmentsÂ
- Scalp ConditionÂ
- Sudden Weight LossÂ
Apart from improving your diet, a good hair care routine can help you reduce hair loss.Â
Little Extra Hair Growth Serum Review
Now let’s get back to this hair growth serum I was talking about. Here’s some basic info on the hair serum you might like to know.Â
Quantity – 30 ml
Packaging Type – Pump Spray BottleÂ
MRP – 999/-Â
But I got it at a good deal at 599/- on Amazon or you can find it on the Little Extra site.
Ingredients in Little Extra Rosemary Hair Growth Serum
What caught my eye were the ingredients. The makers have taken quite a scientific approach towards its formulation rather than just adding one or two natural ingredients.Â
- 2 % Rosemary: Rosemary oil stimulates the scalp, promoting better blood circulation and potentially boosting hair growth
- 3% Anagain: This plant extract targets the dermal papilla cells at the root of the hair follicle
- 3% Redensyl: Derived from red apple stem cells, redensyl might extend the hair’s growth phase and increase hair follicle density.
- 3% Procapil: promotes blood circulation to the scalp
- 2% Baicapil: has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties
I was more impressed that the hair serum is free of all nasties and harmful chemicals as mentioned in The Evil List (more than 1200 questionable or harmful chemicals that are banned or restricted in the US and India).Â
So it doesn’t containÂ
- ParabenÂ
- Sulfate
- Silicone
- Artificial coloursÂ
- Artificial fragrance
They’ve even mentioned all of their ingredients on their pack, so there are no hidden ingredients. So Little Extra brownie points from my side. This hair serum is vegan and suitable for all hair types.Â
My Experience with The Little Extra Rosemary Hair SerumÂ
Hair serums can be a little difficult to handle because one, you need to use them regularly and two, sometimes they make your scalp greasy. Since I already have an oily scalp, I am always very particular about the hair products I am using.Â
To my surprise, the formulation of this rosemary hair serum is non-greasy and lightweight. It comes in a pump spray bottle with which you can directly spray the serum on your scalp. The packaging is travel-friendly and convenient.Â
How do I use this hair growth serum?
I have been using this serum for over a week now. I spray it onto my scalp at night and massage it with my fingers for a minute. I leave the serum on overnight. Since the formula is lightweight and non-greasy, I do not need to wash my hair the next day. I have used it three days in a row and it didn’t feel greasy or sticky at all. So I am quite impressed with the formula.Â
You do not need to wash your hair after using the serum and can use it every day or at least 4-6 times a week.Â
Does it Actually Work?
My hair is looking shinier and I can see less hair fall. I will update again after 4 weeks if I can see new growth or if my volume looks better.Â
ProsÂ
- Less itchy scalpÂ
- Reduced shedding
- Shinier Hair
Cons:
- Pricing can be competitive
My Verdict after Using the Little Extra Reactive Hair Serum
This hair growth serum with rosemary, anagain, and redensyl is a promising option for those experiencing hair loss. It might not be a magic potion, but it offered noticeable results along with a healthier scalp. Just remember, that consistency is key, and individual results may vary.
Bonus Tip: Pair this hair growth serum with a healthy diet that contains biotin-rich foods like legumes, amla, eggs, and sunflower seeds. You can also try stress management techniques and a gentle hair care routine.Â

I didn’t know rosemary could stimulate the scalp. That is good to know.
I like the fact that it doesn’t have any artificial colours and fragrances. I have to check what the Evil List is. But the best part is that I can use it without needing to wash daily. I will certainly check this out.

Insightful review! The detailed analysis and personal experience with the Little Extra Hair Growth Serum provide valuable information for potential users.
Redensyl and anagain are proven ingredients to increase hair growth and hair density although not yet known how long the effects last when you stop the product. But I am sure it will give results in cases where hair fall is alarming.
I have used Haeroot and Nourish Mantra Hair Growth Serum. Redensyl is one of the ingredients in it. I think the serum works for me.
As you have used this and shared your experience, I think I will try out this Little Extra Growth Serum, soon.

Little extra sounds gets a lot of extra points for being lightweight and non-greasy. I like that it can be applied frequently without needing hair washes. It’s pricy, but surely seems effective.
