Hello people, we are on the 14th day of the challenge and I am still keeping myself sane and figuring out when to post. Now the eyes are troubling for some days so I a on and off from laptop.
So today is day for N and my emotion is Negative or Negativity. I was watching the IPL match and I knew I’ll write something on sports. I could have written on vote and elections because that is the hot topic of the season in this part of the continent. But sports won over politics. then I thought of writing about cricket but thought it’s like little clichéd so the plot went to football. Okay I’m blabbering but I don’t mean to.
Now just read the fiction.
Thoughts creates your future
It was their big day tomorrow and Vinay and Rajesh were nervous.
The young foot ball enthusiasts were up for a chance of a life time and they wanted to get through this hurdle the next day.
At the end of the big selection they could be the lucky few to get trained at the Manchester United Foot Club by the big wigs… this was one opportunity which neither of them wanted to miss but like any other 16 year olds they were getting those jitters.
They also had the bigger hurdle in front, which they could cross only with tomorrow’s selection – their sports scholarship that will take them to Manchester.
Rajesh particularly was getting a little more sweaty hands and was feeling tensed for the selection. Ever since they were back from the practice at the big ground today Rajesh felt concerned for the selection.
“Raju why are you so tensed? It will be okay tomorrow”, Vinay tried comforting his friend.
“Why won’t I be tensed? Didn’t you see those boys at the practice today? They were so talented, they all came with their coaches!”
“So?”
“Vinu, I feel they have better chance”
“Why do you say so?”
“Because they are trained my friend, they are not like us…”
“What do you mean not like us? Why are you doubting on your talent Raju?”
“Vinu we have always played in the colony ground and some local matches, but we were never trained.”
“So what we were never trained professionally? so what we don’t have a coach? we play good football, everyone here knows that, what did Vijay Sir tell us? ”
“That we would make it big one day. But Vinu…”
“What Vinu Vinu… I don’t understand how come you doubt on your capabilities now!”
“I am having a feeling we’ll not get selected”
“If you start feeling like that then nothing good can happen to you”
“Did you notice their shoes? Did you notice their sheen guards?”
“A player doesn’t score goals because he wears good shoes or has sheen guards… what is wrong with you?”
“I know I will be working in the tea stall always, small people like us don’t have a chance.”
“Stop boring me with your nonsense now. And by the way Messi, our Idol, also served tea to support his football training. Didn’t he make it big? He was not rich kid, what has happened to you?”
“He is Messi and we are we… why are you comparing us with him?”
“I am only telling believe in yourself”
“But…”
“Enough now. If you keep thinking so negative then nothing will work out.
Take all of these out from your mind Raju, your thought make your future, if you lose that battle in your mind what will you do in field?”
“Hmm…”
“I am going to practice now, I don’t feel like sleeping. Are you coming with me? Or you want to sulk still?”
“let’s go friend”, said Rajesh with a smile.
We are on April 15th and I am here with my 13th post! It’s on an emotion called mysterious. I know its not an exact emotion but is definitely worthy of being in this list as i wanted to write on it…
so here you go… a short one this time on M for mysterious.
Who was she?
One bright morning last fall, he saw her.
She carried huge grocery bags… probably was back from the super market, he thought.
She entered the corner building.
He had never seen her before there, she must have moved in recently, he told himself… other than that there was no way he would not noticed her earlier. Rob knew every girl – hot or not – in his locality. He generally avoided the nots and looked for the hots… and she was definitely hot.
He made a mental note that he will be looking out for this new girl from now on.
Weeks went by but Rob didn’t see her. He never saw her leaving the building or entering it, she was not there at the park or at the super market. He thought she must be working in night shifts so he kept an eye at the building in the nights. But then again he never saw her.
Saturday morning when Rob was out on his bike his heart skipped a beat when he saw her finally. He thought he will not waste any more time and just go and talk to her. He zoomed in by her side and greeted her with his effervescent smile. He knew he looked macho this way and girls went crazy in high school on his moves.
But he got the shocker when the girl gave him a blank look and kept walking as if she didn’t notice anything… at all. He called out to her and asked her name but there was no response.
She was hot beautiful but Rob didn’t understand why she didn’t react… at all… good or bad!
She was beautiful, yet the look on face was blank, she was tall petite and well dressed, but her eyes looked to be missing something or was it some one? He was perplexed as to who this mysterious girl was? Why did he see her so little? Why she didn’t come out of her house in the last 2 weeks? What did she do? Why she always looked lost? Rob told himself next time he met her he will not leave without the answers.

So we reach our 12th day in the challenge… and so far I have not missed any… super happy I am with myself. Today its the queen of all emotions its Love for L and I am writing something special. No I am not writing my love story or my experience by I am writing something that I think quite a lot… extreme love. Because I didn’t want to write a just-another-love-story sort of thingi.
here you go.
She thought he was a Gym Instructor
Rishab rushed in the hospital room… he traveled miles to get here. He was tensed all throughout his flight. He was so far away from her at this hour and he hated that… he hated that he was shooting so far away in Cuba.
It’s been two days that Shanaya had met with this accident while shooting a stunt scene, and the entire film industry was dropping in at the hospital but the person she needed most was in transit. So when Rishab landed in Mumbai he headed directly towards the hospital.
But the doctors stopped him from getting close to her, they didn’t allow anyone to meet her. It was not the superstar Shanaya, she was a frail lady on the bed lying under some bandages. The doctors informed she got hurt on the head and there might be some trouble, they wanted to be sure.
When Shanaya finally opened her eyes after two long days the doctors took her vitals which showed massive improvements. But they were shocked when she couldn’t remember anything, not even her own name or who she was. She sat like a statue on bed with no emotion. Only word she called out was Rishi.
“I think she has gone into amnesia, she doesn’t seem to remember anything”.
“No doctor that can’t happen… please let me meet her”, said a worried Rishab.
“Please understand we don’t want to stress her out, she doesn’t remember herself”
“Doctor she can’t forget me”, there was a desperation in Rishab’s voice.
“Only word she had spoken so far is Rishi… would you know who that would be?”
“Doctor I told you, she can’t forget me… she calls me Rishi”
“Okay, let’s see… but please Mr. Rishab you have to control your emotions, you cannot put any pressure on her, on her mind now”
When they entered her room she lay in her bed with her eyes closed. Rishab thought of not disturbing her. He sat down by the bed and prayed to god… he wanted his Shanaya back, the way she used to be the cheerful bright girl… very very different from her glamorous image. He picked up her hand and planted a soft kiss.
“Rishi”, called out a faint voice.
He looked up and saw his Shanaya looking towards him.
“Yes babe, I am just here, don’t worry, everything will be all fine”
For several days now the doctors has been conducting tests on her, they were baffled how she didn’t remember anything barring the superstar Rishab or her Rishi… she just remembered him… her love. She didn’t remember that he was a superstar, or she herself was the reigning queen of Bollywood… she only knew the man she called Rishi and she knew she loved him… and she thought he was a gym instructor… she said in one of the tests that Rishi spent a lot of time in the gym… he was a gym instructor!

Ahh.. the weekend is here and I am finding myself confined… confined behind dark glasses and in the bed with pink eyes… weekend wasted…
Anyways I still went ahead and posted, I really didn’t want to miss posting.
Since I can’t stare at the laptop for long this one is tiny.
He wanted a better Life
He was beaten up, thrashed, and confined.
There were days when he went hungry and no one remembered to give him food.
He was scared.
He wanted to run away but he was restrained, he was not powerful enough to break off his chains.
He was specially scared of him… the one who came to give him food.
He just wanted him to be kind to him, he wasn’t asking too much… just some little acts of kindness.
He didn’t want to get thrashed without any fault, he didn’t want to be chained for the entire day.
But that day never came, no one felt anything for him, he felt his life will end within this space.
It was not his fault that he was not bought with few grands, it was not his fault that he was born this way, it was not his fault that he was born a stray and born of a non descriptive mother.
He knew he will have to die within this cage at this stray dog shelter… and still be chained.

Did I tell you guys I’ll keep the posts short?? Now forget that I told that, I am being pathetic in keeping the word count for sometime. Today was quite a hectic day and on top of that i am sitting now with two red eyes and pathetic burning feeling in them. I was writing my post and thought i’ll finish it in five sentences, close the laptop and just sleep… and here I am writing it for last half an hour, actually writing and rewriting and it became long!!
Do you really mind if it’s little longish? Please let me know… if yes I’ll push myself to keep a stronger check on the word count!!
Today is J and what better that Jealousy for the emotion. Now the obvious thoughts for jealousy were girl friend boy friend kind or sibling rivalry kind or something to do with sports… but then i thought of this and i stuck to it somehow!
OMG its already Day 10 and I have not missed posting a single day… Power to me!!!
Here you go.
The Promotion
Some said don’t do it, some said think before you take the next step and some said listen to your heart.
For Aarti Malhotra it was always using the mind before using her heart, but she had listened to her heart that time.
She was the quintessential go getter all her life. For this IIT IIM graduate climbing the corporate ladder was not a very big deal. She had worked in difficult situations and managed crisis with care. She had prioritized her work before everything – be it the family functions, cousin’s marriages, festivals or anything else.
She had met Vivek Raizada in this company and known him for some time. They had a great working relationship and shared mutual feelings for each other. Aarti was not sure if she was completely in love with him or not but when Vivek proposed her for marriage she had promptly agreed… much against her family’s wishes.
For her age, position or wealth didn’t matter that much as was the educational qualification. She knew Vivek was highly qualified and he was a nice person, so what if he was younger to her by two years. She had listened to her heart and not thought about pros and cons while deciding to get married to him.
Life was good enough, Vivek was a good husband and a good father to their new born baby and he cared for them. When she joined back after her break it was fun to be in the same board room, which Vivek was part of now after his recent promotion.
But all hell broke loose on the day of the meeting with the chairman who was highly impressed with Aarti, her work and her dedication towards the company. He knew she was the go getter that the company needed to expand their international business. He named her the new CEO of their Foreign Business division much to her surprise and her delight. She felt her dream was turning true, she always had it in mind that she will be the CEO some day, just didn’t know it will be so soon.
There were many happy faces in the board room who congratulated Aarti on her new elevation. One face among them didn’t show much of a delight, for Vivek was eyeing this position for some time and had a good chat with the chairman over breakfast where he had sounded quite optimistic. Vivek felt he was a better candidate for the international business expansion with his foreign degree and felt he was much more deserving than his wife.
For few months he tried to console himself, but Aarti’s now beefed up paycheck was not helping him to forget what he missed out on. How he wished she had stood down on the offer and endorsed him for the position. His outlook towards his wife started changing with this one announcement.
The little disagreements were turning into regular clashes between the two and Aarti didn’t realize why he had changed so much suddenly. She didn’t understand why he got upset before her business trips.
She didn’t see what everyone else could see, jealousy had crept in between the couple and it was taking a turn towards worse. They had traveled great distances work partners to life partners but now they felt as rivals staying under one roof.
***
Aarti felt sad today while signing on the decree of divorce, but she knew she had no other option. She wanted a peaceful life for her daughter and she knew she will not be able to provide her that in that house which had become a loud, noisy and quarrelsome one… an environment which had only jealousy and hatred in the air.

Hello Guys, we are on Day 9 and its time for I. Today’s emotion is Immature. Well it’s not exactly an emotion but is more of a state of mind or nature. But I wanted to write on it so it is here in my emotions list. I hope that’s fine!
So here it goes. In case you are looking for my previous posts on A to Z go here to read.
One Decision that changed her Life
Cindy wrote in her diary every night, it gave her a certain kind of peace when she vented out all her thoughts, all her pain in her dear Diary.
And for the last eight months the entries have been special – she spoke to her unborn baby and wrote down those imaginary conversations in her diary.
She was due in just two weeks and she promised herself she’ll not freak out… she’ll handle it perfectly, like how she has been handling her life in last few months.
Life was bright and cheerful for Cindy, she was a free spirited girl who loved travelling. Her job as a photo journalist took her to several countries far away from where she stayed. One such trip brought her to this middle east land. She had spent quite a long time there for her assignment and was aghast with the situation there… and how they treated their women.
But when she met Saafir, she felt he was very different. He seemed to have a modern outlook and was very caring… so gentle, kind, handsome and concerned that Cindy had fallen for him in no time.
Back at home her parents were concerned for her, her safety specially after her revelation when she called up one weekend. Cindy had decided to take the relationship forward and married Saafir. She knew he was the man she always wanted in her life, so what if she knew him only for few weeks. For Cindy love was spontaneous and not something that she would take time to decide or judge.
***
This morning was dull with dark clouds. Cindy sat on the couch with her morning newspaper. While going through the war articles in the middle east she could feel going back in those times. Only after her marriage she found out Saafir was already married and had two previous wives. He had kept this part of his life concealed. Cindy was broken, not only with the betrayal but with how she was entrapped into this mess. She was forced to change her religion, was beaten up, tortured and left in a dark room often, as her punishment, whenever she refused to follow anything.
When she found herself carrying a child, the only thing she longed for was her passport and safety for herself and her unborn child. All her attempts of running away were futile and were met with extreme aggression until that one lucky day when one of the wives of Saafir sneaked out her passport and helped her reach the nearby Red Cross Centre.
That one immature decision had turned her life upside down. Today Cindy often wonders, why she took this plunge in spite of knowing how that society was. She felt she was naïve, and she just hurried into it without thinking. But today she knows she has brought herself and her child out of the mess and has matured as a person. She has promised her baby that she will keep her safe and will think twice before taking any of her life’s decisions.
